Softball Recap: Living Water Homeschool's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Living Water Homeschool entered their tilt with Mishawaka Marian on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Knights 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Marlins, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Elena Robertson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Living Water Homeschool let Halle Carpenter and Nora Levy run wild. Carpenter got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Levy got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Makenzie Hicks was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Living Water Homeschool's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Mishawaka Marian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Coming up, Living Water Homeschool will take on Brandywine in a tournament on Saturday. As for Mishawaka Marian, they will host South Bend Riley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
