Volleyball Recap: Central Davidson Takes a Loss

After flying high against John Yowell Academy last Monday, Central Davidson came back down to earth. The Spartans fell 3-1 to the A.L. Brown Wonders on Tuesday. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wonders 25-18 in the first set.

Central Davidson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-11.

Central Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for A.L. Brown, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Central Davidson will square off against Winston Salem Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for A.L. Brown, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lake Norman on the 15th.
