Basketball Recap: Grand Valley Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Grand Valley won the last time they faced North Fork, and Daniel Gronewoller did his part to make sure it happened again. The Grand Valley Cardinals came out on top against the North Fork Miners by a score of 49-39 on Tuesday thanks in part to Gronewoller, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Teter, who had eight points and ten rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

North Fork's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Moss Inman, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Payson Pene also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Grand Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for North Fork, their record now sits at 4-6.

Grand Valley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Coal Ridge at 7:00 p.m. As for North Fork, they will venture away from home to face off against Cedaredge at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
