Alvarado has gone 8-2 against Life Waxahachie recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Alvarado Indians will be home for the holidays to greet the Life Waxahachie Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-13, which was the final score in Alvarado's tilt against Godley on Friday. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Joslyn Jarmon, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 8 points and four steals. That was a full 61.5% of Alvarado's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayme Taylor, who had two points along with five assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, Life Waxahachie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Hillsboro, falling 48-25. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1202nd, while the Eagles are ranked 379th).

Life Waxahachie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Alvarado, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Everything went Alvarado's way against Life Waxahachie in their previous matchup back in January, as Alvarado made off with a 53-29 victory. In that match, Alvarado amassed a halftime lead of 36-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
