Soccer Game Preview: Reed-Custer vs. Watseka

The Reed-Custer Comets will head out on the road to take on the Watseka Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Reed-Custer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

While Reed-Custer's win against Clifton Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Reed-Custer had just enough and edged out Clifton Central 4-3. The victory continues a trend for Reed-Custer in their matchups with Clifton Central: they've now won four in a row.

Reed-Custer hit Clifton Central with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Broden Alexander, Dylan Maschmeyer, Matthew Kuban, and Jakub Lichaj.

Meanwhile, Watseka's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville as they made off with an 8-3 win. Eight seems to be a good number for Watseka as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Watseka's win bumped their record up to 6-14-1. As for Reed-Custer, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13-1.
