Baseball Recap: West Florence Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, West Florence couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Berkeley Stags by a score of 8-6 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered since May 10, 2024.

Avery Weaver and Matthew Brown stepped up to the plate in a big way. Weaver went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI, while Brown went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

West Florence's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-6. As for Berkeley, they pushed their record up to 20-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither West Florence nor the Stags have any future games scheduled.
