After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nashville, Gibault Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the New Athens Yellow Jackets. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 victory the Yellow Jackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2025.

Chloe Lancaster was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
