Volleyball Recap: Pendleton Comes Up Short

Pendleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greer Yellow Jackets. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2019.

Leading Greer to victory were Miriam Onofre and Jacey Foster. Onofre had seven digs and two aces, while Foster had nine digs and two aces. Those nine digs gave Foster a new career-high.

Pendleton's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Greer, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Pendleton has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Chapman on the 13th. As for Greer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Spartanburg Christian Academy on the 13th.
