Baseball Recap: Dunlap Eagles vs. Normal University Pioneers
Dunlap made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Normal University, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Dunlap blew past Normal University 11-2 on Friday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 17-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Owen Shissler made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in May of 2024. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Davis Weeks was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Jackson Newton was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
