St. Francis is a perfect 7-0 against De La Salle since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Spartans will square off against the Meteors at 11:00 a.m. St. Francis' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so De La Salle's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

St. Francis can't be too worried about heading out to take on De La Salle: they just beat Serena at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Huskers 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since March 29th.

Meanwhile, De La Salle waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Mustangs 12-6. Considering the Meteors have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

De La Salle got a massive performance out of Samara Agredano, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Analise Francois, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

De La Salle hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive contests.

De La Salle's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Francis, their record now sits at 14-3.

Everything went St. Francis' way against De La Salle when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as St. Francis made off with an 11-2 victory. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Meteors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
