Soccer Game Preview: Steele vs. Johnson

The Steele Knights will take on the Johnson Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Steele didn't have quite enough to beat Canyon and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Johnson entered their tilt with Judson on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rockets an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Jaguars have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Steele's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six games. As for Johnson, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3-5.

Steele came out on top in a nail-biter against Johnson in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 2-1. Does Steele have another victory up their sleeve, or will Johnson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
