Basketball Recap: Genoa Area Find Success

Genoa Area had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 63-57 W over the Liberty-Benton Eagles on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Comets: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2024, they had to take a 63-40 loss.

The victory made it two in a row for Genoa Area and bumps their season record up to 19-5. As for Liberty-Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-3.

As of now, neither Genoa Area nor Liberty-Benton have any future games scheduled.
