Volleyball Recap: Duluth East Beats Denfeld for Their Ninth Straight Victory

Duluth East entered their tilt with Denfeld on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hunters. The Greyhounds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hunters, too.

Duluth East walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-20.

Bella Peterson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and four aces. What's more, she posted two assists, the most she's had over her last 14 matchups. Alexis Peters also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Duluth East was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Duluth East's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Denfeld, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Duluth East and Marshall will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Denfeld, they will square off against Mesabi East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
