Soccer Recap: Newport Central Catholic's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Newport Central Catholic was the 2-0 winner over Holy Cross when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Thoroughbreds took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians on Thursday. The loss put an end to Newport Central Catholic's undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Newport Central Catholic fell to 2-1-1. As for Holy Cross, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newport Central Catholic will square off against Simon Kenton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Holy Cross, they will take on Great Crossing at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
