Soccer Recap: Emerald Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Emerald and A.C. Flora squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Emerald had to settle for second. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 6-1. Emerald were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Daniel Duran Ibarra, who's now up to five this season.

Emerald dropped their record down to 5-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for A.C. Flora, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Emerald does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for A.C. Flora, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Berea at 7:00 p.m. Berea will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something A.C. Flora surely won't give up without a fight.
