The Bryan Station Defenders will square off against the Estill County Engineers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bryan Station's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Estill County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Bryan Station is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Madison Central, who was ranked 19th at the time (Bryan Station was ranked 24th). The Defenders had just enough and edged out the Indians 3-2 on Friday.

Karsyn Rockvoan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than 12 strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tiahna Bowman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Olivia Greenberg also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Estill County waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Warriors 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Engineers, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Estill County also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Bella Rice gave up only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Estill County let Callee Snowden and Sydney Riddell run wild. Snowden went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Riddell went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Estill County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwestern struck out seven times.
Estill County pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Bryan Station, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
