            The Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners will head out to  challenge the Public Safety Academy Phoenix  at 2:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Public Safety Academy will  take on  a team with plenty of momentum: Loma Linda Academy extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Roadrunners put the hurt on Redlands Adventist Academy with a sharp  11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Roadrunners, who have now won three contests by ten  runs or more  so far this season.

 The team  relied heavily on  Andrew Pennell, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Public Safety Academy, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  back in March. They never let Noli Indian get on the board and left with  a   10-0  win  on Thursday. While the Phoenix didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-15-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 Public Safety Academy got a  massive  performance out of  Matt Bennett, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Bennett has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  stolen bases the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Eric Trujillo, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
 Loma Linda Academy pushed their record up to 5-0 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Public Safety Academy, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record  this season.
 Loma Linda Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Public Safety Academy in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, sneaking past  8-6. Will the Roadrunners repeat their success,  or do  the Phoenix have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
