Baseball Recap: Calais Comes Up Short

Calais was the 8-1 winner over Machias when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell 6-1 to the Bulldogs on Monday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calais saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah White, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Calais now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Machias, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calais will challenge Washington Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Machias, they will face off against Jonesport-Beals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
