After a string of five wins, Allatoona's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Mount Paran Christian Eagles. The Buccaneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Madi Heard paced Allatoona's offense, picking up seven kills. Heard got some help from Lk Lamonica and her 12 assists. Ashlyn Jones and Torie Daniels kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Allatoona's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Mount Paran Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Allatoona is taking a road trip to take on Southeast Whitfield County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Buccaneers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Mount Paran Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Walton on the 23rd.
