Softball Recap: West Greene Pioneers vs. California Trojans        
        
		
            
 West Greene can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the California Trojans as the West Greene Pioneers made off with  a  16-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Greene also won the last time the pair played  back in April.
  Payton Gilbert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  pitched two innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. Gilbert was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-5.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kendra Tharp, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Ella Scott, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  double.
 The  win  made it two in a row for West Greene and  bumps their season record up to 9-5. As for California, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-14.
 West Greene is on the road again  on Monday to play Avella at 4:00  p.m. California does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
