Calvert waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They snuck past the St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers with a 45-39 victory. The 45-point effort marked the Senecas' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Calvert's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Ritzler, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Wolph, who had 13 points and eight rebounds.

Calvert's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvert will finish 2024 at home by hosting Old Fort at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, they will welcome Perkins at 6:30 p.m. on December 28th.
