Basketball Recap: Zoe Buddenborg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stockbridge over Reading

Stockbridge was the 51-15 winner over Reading when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stockbridge Panthers lost to the Reading Rangers at home by a 50-36 margin on Monday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stockbridge's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoe Buddenborg, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Topping, who put up eight points and four steals.

It was another big night for Aubree Ervans, who to rack up 23 points for Reading. With that strong performance, Ervans is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jenna Londeau, who scored 11 points and three steals.

Stockbridge's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Reading, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Stockbridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 37-34 win against Reading on the 21st. As for Reading, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-35 defeat against Pittsford on the 19th.
