Recap: Trinity Wolves vs. Hamilton Braves

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Trinity Wolves can now relate to. They were dealt a 40-12 defeat at the hands of Hamilton on Friday. Trinity was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Carver Dresselhaus threw for 58 yards and a touchdown. Christian Montoya was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Ty Moodie rushed for 117 yards.

Hamilton was led to victory by Omar Sanchez and Diego Sanchez. Sanchez picked up 276 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Sanchez threw for 403 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 19.2 yards per attempt. Sanchez's longest reception was for an incredible 89 yards. Bryant Odom and his 95 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Hamilton's victory.

Trinity's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-3 Biggs (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.6% over those games). As for Hamilton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hamilton will head out on the road to face off against Winters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
