Lakewood waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by  a  17-5 margin over the Squalicum Storm. The  matchup marked the Cougars' most dominant  win of the  season.
 Katie Krueger made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Cassidy Wolfe was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Karly Stewart, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Lakewood  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 17  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Squalicum only managed five  hits.
Lakewood pushed their record up to 7-10 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Squalicum,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-16.
 Coming up, Lakewood will square off against Meridian at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Squalicum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
