Basketball Recap: Rutherford Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Rutherford had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 56-46 victory over the Newberry Panthers on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Rutherford found their leader in sophomore Ka'Nahla Hayes, who went 9-for-13 on her way to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Ava Butler, who posted 12 points.

Rutherford's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Newberry, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.

Coming up, Rutherford will face off against Bolles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bolles will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Rutherford surely won't give up without a fight. Newberry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
