Basketball Recap: Lillie Driver Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Julian

Brooks proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 33) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Julian Jaguars 42-40. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 43-21 victory the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

Brooks' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lillie Driver, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Antwonette Golatte, who earned ten points.

Brooks is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Julian, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3.

Brooks didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-40 victory against Christian Fenger Academy on the 29th. Julian has also already played their next contest, a 42-40 loss against Thornwood on the 25th.
