Baseball Preview: Fletcher Senators vs. Wolfson Wolfpack
The Fletcher Senators are taking a road trip to face off against the Wolfson Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Things were looking good for Fletcher after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 10-7 to University Christian.
Jakeb McDougall was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, he also racked up three hits, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Hobie Smith was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Wolfson took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 27-1 margin over Andrew Jackson. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Dakota Dickk looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Amil Ayoub was a standout: he scored four runs while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Barnett, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
