11 must be Herndon's lucky number: they beat Westfield with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Hornets beat the Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-9 on Monday.

The win made it two in a row for Herndon and bumps their season record up to 4-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Westfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5-1 record this season.

Herndon will venture away from home to face off against Yorktown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Westfield will be paying especially close attention to Herndon's game: after Herndon faces off against George C. Marshall, they'll take on Westfield again at 6:30 p.m.
