Baseball Preview: Sanderson Spartans vs. Leesville Road Pride        
        
		
            Sanderson hasn't had much luck against Leesville Road recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. The Spartans will challenge the Pride at 6:00  p.m. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Sanderson proved they can win big  on Thursday (they won by 19) and  on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Enloe, sneaking past  3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
 BRADY ROBINSON was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. ROBINSON was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  runs.
 ROBINSON wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  FINN THOMAS, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Leesville Road had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They came out on top against the Storm by a score of  10-7.
 Jack Fields looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Brett Kutner was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That  home run was  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Carter Hepp, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Leesville Road's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-5. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Sanderson, their win  ended  a  nine-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 4-11.
