Volleyball Game Preview: Mobridge-Pollock Tigers vs. Sioux Valley Cossacks

The Mobridge-Pollock Tigers will face off against the Sioux Valley Cossacks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mobridge-Pollock managed to slip by Roncalli the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Cavaliers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Cavaliers since October 13, 2020.

Meanwhile, Sioux Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Baltic, falling 3-0.

Sioux Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-21.

Sioux Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Mobridge-Pollock, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.

Mobridge-Pollock was able to grind out a solid victory over Sioux Valley in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, winning 2-0. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cossacks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
