Baseball Recap: Prospect Gets the Win

The Prospect Knights were able to grind out a solid win over the Plainfield Central Wildcats on Saturday, taking the game 6-3.

Logan Nordentoft was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Jackson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Prospect's victory bumped their record up to 16-9-1. As for Plainfield Central, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-5.

Looking ahead, Prospect will head out to challenge Rolling Meadows at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plainfield Central, they will host Plainfield South at 4:30 a.m. on Monday.
