Basketball Game Preview: Mallard Creek Mavericks vs. Chambers Cougars

The Mallard Creek Mavericks will head out on the road to challenge the Chambers Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mallard Creek has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 231 points over their last three contests.

Mallard Creek is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 86-7 victory over West Mecklenburg. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

What's more, she also posted a 82% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024. Mallard Creek's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points over those games. As for Chambers, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

Everything came up roses for Mallard Creek against Chambers in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 73-31 win. In that game, Mallard Creek amassed a halftime lead of 42-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
