            Volleyball Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie vs. Mater Academy Charter Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Hialeah Educational Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They came up short against  the Mater Academy Charter Lions, falling  3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in March.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16,  25-21.
 Kenny Beltran paced Hialeah Educational Academy's offense, picking up three kills. Beltran also shared the team's lead in assists with  Yan Roberto Barcelo: they picked up four each. Barcelo was also solid from the service line:  he led the team with two aces.
  Carlos Verde had another great game (as  he tends to do),  getting 22  digs and two  aces for Mater Academy Charter. That's the most  aces  Verde has posted since back in March.  Emmanuel Cruz also deserves some recognition as  he  served his first  aces of the season.
Hialeah Educational Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mater Academy Charter, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Hialeah Educational Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  defeat against Goleman on the 3rd. As for Mater Academy Charter, they have also already played their next contest,  a  3-2  win against Monsignor Pace on the 3rd.
