Basketball Recap: Epic Charter Takes a Loss

Epic Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Carnegie Wildcats. One positive for the Comments, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Duane Cavaness continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carnegie, going 7 for 11 en route to 21 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Cavaness a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerin Thompson, who went 7 of 11 to rack up 16 points and five rebounds.

Epic Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Carnegie, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Epic Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carnegie, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Blair at 8:00 p.m.
