Volleyball Recap: DeKalb Takes a Loss

DeKalb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Pike Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Barons of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

DeKalb was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20.

DeKalb's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pike, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

DeKalb has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Ben Davis on the 23rd. As for Pike, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Culver Academies on the 23rd.
