Basketball Recap: Pepperell Comes Up Short

Pepperell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They took a 76-62 bruising from the Bowdon Red Devils. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 71-61 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaiden Prothro was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 18 rebounds for Bowdon. That makes it three consecutive games in which Prothro has scored at least a third of Bowdon's points. Another player making a difference was Zayland Allen, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Pepperell's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Bowdon, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Pepperell has already played their next game, a 71-47 defeat against Bremen on the 17th. As for Bowdon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-53 loss against Manchester on the 15th.
