Recap: Oak Glen Golden Bears vs. Roane County Raiders
The Oak Glen Golden Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Roane County 27-21. Oak Glen lost against Roane County in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-14 score last time.
Although Oak Glen took the loss, they still got scores from Alex Dennis, Kameron Hebrock, and Aiden Flowers.
Oak Glen's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.9 points per game. As for Roane County, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Oak Glen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Roane County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Independence at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Independence's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
