Constantine dropped their record down to 16-5 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Dowagiac Chieftains, falling 16-1. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chieftains from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Constantine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jozee Buglione, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

As for Dowagiac, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-2. The result was nothing new for the Chieftains, who have now won 14 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

On Dowagiac's side, Marlie Carpenter was incredible, firing off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most RBI Carpenter has posted since back in April. Bree Behnke was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dowagiac beat Constantine by a score of 18-7 later that day.
