Basketball Recap: Minerva Skates Past United with Ease

Minerva won the last time they faced United and things went their way on Saturday too. The Minerva Lions took their matchup with ease, bagging a 65-31 victory over the United Golden Eagles. That looming 65-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

With the win, Minerva broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for United, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minerva and Claymont will round out the year against one another at at 6:45 p.m. on December 30th. As for United, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leetonia at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
