Baseball Game Preview: Ironwood Eagles vs. Independence Patriots

The Ironwood Eagles will challenge the Independence Patriots at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Ironwood's offense. They came up short against Sunrise Mountain on Thursday, falling 15-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 21-11 to Glendale.

Ironwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1.

Ironwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Independence when the teams last played back in February of 2018, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
