Soccer Game Preview: Albemarle vs. Goochland

The Albemarle Patriots will take on the Goochland Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Albemarle will be strutting in after a victory while Goochland will be coming in after a defeat.

Albemarle's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Fluvanna County by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for Albemarle in their matchups with Fluvanna County: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Goochland fell victim to Charlottesville and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Black Knights. Goochland have struggled against Charlottesville recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Albemarle picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-1-1. As for Goochland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Albemarle beat Goochland 3-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
