Football Recap: Maple Mountain Falls Despite Big Games from Braden Glassford and Brooks Ross

Maple Mountain played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 38-14 to the Pine View Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Golden Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Maple Mountain had strong showings from Brooks Ross, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown, and Braden Glassford, who rushed for 14 yards and one score. Ross really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 85 yards.

Levi Shaw looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 298 yards and three TDs while completing 76.7% of his passes. Shaw is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season.

Maple Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pine View, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Maple Mountain will square off against Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Golden Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pine View, they will take on Timpanogos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
