Softball Recap: Octorara Area Comes Up Short

After flying high against J.P. McCaskey last Wednesday, Octorara Area came back down to earth. Octorara Area came up short against the Conestoga Valley Buckskins on Friday, falling 11-4.

Hailey Tidd was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Campbell King was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Octorara Area's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Conestoga Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Octorara Area will be playing in front of their home fans against Lancaster Mennonite at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Conestoga Valley, they will venture away from home to square off against Cocalico at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
