Football Recap: Mt. Mansfield Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Mt. Mansfield had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Mount Anthony Patriots on Friday, falling 48-7. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 47-6 to the Patriots when the teams met back in September of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Asa Reis was a one-man wrecking crew For Mount Anthony. as he rushed for 195 yards and four scores on only 15 carries. Those 195 rushing yards gave Reis a new career-high. Logan Baker also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.

Mt. Mansfield and Mount Anthony will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars are set to take on their familiar foe North Country Union at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mount Anthony will challenge rival Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
