Collinwood is 7-1 against Hampshire since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Trojans will challenge the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Collinwood will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Collinwood had just enough and edged out Perry County 7-6. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hampshire). Everything went their way against Santa Fe on Tuesday as they made off with an 18-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Hampshire let Cameron Marrisett and Elijah Stephens run wild. Marrisett scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4, while Stephens scored three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Stephens has posted since back in March. Keaon Nicholson was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Hampshire kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.

Hampshire is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Collinwood, their record is now 6-8.

Everything went Collinwood's way against Hampshire in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Collinwood made off with a 14-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
