Basketball Recap: Hilltop Christian Takes a Loss

Hilltop Christian was the 64-54 winner over Woodland Baptist Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chargers took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Hilltop Christian lost, don't look at Joseph McCabe. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards.

Hilltop Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Hilltop Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Oak Forest at 8:15 p.m. As for Woodland Baptist Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against White Plains Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
