Basketball Recap: Rylee Pahl's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cloudcroft over Maxwell

Cloudcroft's tournament run continued when they took on Maxwell on Saturday. The Cloudcroft Bears came up short against the Maxwell Bears, falling 72-48. Cloudcroft has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylee Pahl, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Pahl's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Dodson, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Cloudcroft's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Maxwell, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Cloudcroft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-52 defeat against Tularosa on the 10th. As for Maxwell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 96-33 victory against Wagon Mound on the 10th.
