On Wednesday, Morgan Park earned a 2-0 win over Harlan. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Horizon Science Academy-Southwest came tearing into Wednesday's contest with seven straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Jaguars.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Horizon Science Academy-Southwest who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 24-26, 25-12.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Morgan Park, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
