Seton Catholic won against Odyssey Institute last Wednesday with 20 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Sentinels never let the Apache Junction Prospectors get on the board and left with a 20-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Sentinels, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brooke Zuluaga made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Seton Catholic got a big performance out of Natalia Casillas, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Scarlett Olivares was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Seton Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

The victory was the third in a row for Seton Catholic, bringing their record up to 12-3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Apache Junction, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Coming up, Seton Catholic will square off against Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apache Junction, they will face off against Florence at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
