Baseball Recap: Wilson Lakemen vs. Albion Purple Eagles
Wilson fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Albion on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Purple Eagles by a score of 4-3. The defeat leaves the Lakemen still looking for their first win of the season.
Tyler Johnston was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Johnston was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Luke Howard made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run. Archer Simpson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Albion, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Meanwhile, Albion is set to take on their familiar foe Medina at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Purple Eagles have won three straight at home, while the Mustangs won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
